Precision!
After hearing good things about the v4’s I bought one to replace my single 15” zv5. As far as air movement, the nightshade is very similar to the zv5 - but the biggest difference (in my opinion) is the SQ. Both are good but the nightshade is much better and more crisp sounding.. PLUS it’s only about 60 lbs compared to 90+ lbs with the zv5. I absolutely recommend this sub! It does cost a little more than a zv5 but remember - you get what you pay for. And thank you again to JP for a stellar operation! I won’t go anywhere else for audio

Insanely Loud and Clean Bss
The sub-woofers are amazing! I have ran everything from RE XXX 18's, RE MT 15's, DD 9500's, even back to old school Cerwin Vega Stroker series; I am here to tell you, these things get crazy loud, but are the cleanest sounding bass I have ever heard out of a large ported enclosure. I am running two of the NSv.4 15" dual 2 ohms, in an 8.5 cubic foot enclosure tuned around 32-34hz (D4S enclosure). They are taking my two Synergy 45.1s like a champ (keep that signal clean). Do yourself a favor while you're at it, and buy an SMD DD-1 to set your gains. Think of it as a protection on your investment. Why would you want to spend tons of money on a system, and risk killing even the best sub-woofers with distortion/clipping? I fully intend to end up with two more of these Nightshades in the future. I just need a big enough SUV to put it all in!
