Description
Recone kit for our FT1 Supertweeters. If your FT1s blew from being overpowered, crossed-over too low, or from dirty signal, this is what you need to rebuild the Ft1 to working condition.
Includes the assembled diaphragm/voice coil and leads.
Available in 4 or 8 ohm coils. You may recone your FT1 to another ohm load if wanted. Therefore if you believe your blown FT1 that was 4ohm would be better in your install if it was 8ohm, this is OK to do. And vice versa from 8ohm to 4ohm.
Price is per recone. Enough to recone (1) tweeter.

Installation instructions:
1.) Remove the 3 screws that hold the motor of the FT1 to the horn section.
2.) Take horn section off the motor assembly and then remove the phase bullet from the top of the motor assembly.
3.) Cut away or desolder the blown diaphragm and remove the old blown diaphragm carefully.
4.) Carefully drop the new recone into the voice coil gap onto the motor, with the connection leads in line with the solder tabs on the top of the push terminals. To find out which coil lead is positive (+), there is a dot on the side of the voice coil indentifying which side is the (+) lead.
5.) Solder each of the leads to the solder tabs, one on each connection terminal.
6.) Snip off the excess leads with scissors, etc.
7.) Reassemble tweeter by first putting the phase bullet back on top of the new diaphragm aligned level so one side does not dig into the top of the diaphragm.
8.) Place front horn assembly onto the motor/bullet assembly.
9.) Reinstall the 3 assembly screws that holds the tweeter casings together.
10.) Celebrate the victory

I'm sure the product would have been great if I received what I ordered but it took 2 weeks to finally get answers from someone & instead of just sending me the right ones right away they have to get the wrong ones back first. Even My order says 4ohm on my account & on the receipt that was in the box but I was sent 8ohm
