Sundown Audio Salt 8!
I absolutely love the Sundown Salt series amps and premium subs! I'm running two salt 8's strapped at 1 ohm, so each amp is at .5 ohm running only two Sundown zv6 15's! I tell you all, if you feed your subs plenty of clean, unclipped power they will provide more clean output than you ever thought possible! I see so many car audio folks blowing their sundown subs and it's mostly because they're either not in a proper enclosure or not being provided with enough clean power on tap to fully engage the cooling features of their subwoofer. There are also other factors that come into play too. Also the most important thing is please make sure you have "more than enough" electrical to support the power your running. Thank you JP and all of the Down4sound family for being awesome!

Love it
This amp looks like a piece of art and works phenomenal. Barely even gets warm after playing an hour at 3/4 volume. Wired at 1 ohm on two Zv6's and it's a perfect match

High Quality Amplifier
This amplifier is bad news (in a GOOD way). It can run for a long time before getting hot, and has intelligent protection circuitry integrated into the board. I have clamped over 10600 watts at 1.3 ohms on MUSIC on it with an AMM-1 on a 12V system. I also clamped over 12500 watts on it at 0.8 ohms, and it wasn't turned all the way up. If you have batteries/alternators which can supply the current it wants quickly enough, it will put out WAY more than rated, and significantly more than what was dynoed on the Sundown Unofficial Youtube page. I am running a single 240A Mechman alternator and 4 XSPower Titan8 Power S5 batteries to power it, with 6 powers and grounds and 6 copper 2-to-1 reducers for the triple +/- inputs, and it puts out CRAZY power, even in the low 12v range. My 2 Deaf Bonce 3512R2s wired to 0.4ohms LOVE it. My ONLY complaint so far is that the bass knob seems to indicate clipping long before it actually clips. On my initial setup before this one, the system would put out 9200 watts at tuning without any clipping according to the AMM-1, but the knob showed clipping at around 5k watts. So if you are a person that uses the knob (it's fancy), make sure to tune it with a DD-1+ first, or else you will sell yourself short on a lot of power if you only use the remote clip light on the knob.
