No customer support
I had this sub show up with a defect. Neither Down4Sound or Sundown helped out with the return of the sub. After opening the package I noticed the foam was not glued properly, which should have been caught by QA. It an attempt to rectify the issue I contacted D4S, they wouldn’t help, not with an exchange or helping with shipping to sundown. I was sent to Sundown for the RMA process and they also would not help with shipping the item to them, because I purchased through an authorized dealer and not directly through them. $90 later I had to ship the brand new unused item back before I hooked up a single wire. Absolute trash customer service. Thanks.

Sundown SA12
Purchased a pair on sale for good price! These things bang when you pair 2 with a JP23v2! Thanks D4S!

Nice budget banger
Decent sub, solid for the price, gets low, hits hard. Not an SPL sub by any means but if you are looking to get something on a budget you wont be disappointed!

Awesome sub but...
Don't be fooled by the 750w rms rating. I paired one of these with a JP8 amp wired to 1 ohm and it wasn't nearly enough. (Great amp, tested at 1250rms on 13v battery power, just not enough for this sub). Sure it worked and sounded good but I could tell the sub was begging for more. Bought a cheap cerwin vega 3000 rms full bride amp and it is so much louder. The jp8 clipped several times on almost every song during dynamic bass shifts causing me to lower the gain and overall output. Now it eats a 30hz test tune at 3600w rms and slams. Sure if you play it like that non stop it will blow but now I can turn the bass up and push the sub to its limit without the amp clipping on dynamics. It eats that 3k all day. Don't be a dope and by 2 amps like me, give yourself lots of head room. Everyone likes loud bass but no one likes clipping. Oh by the way the sound quality is great, I have mine in the profab v1 enclosure. Some port velocity noise I would say above 2000rms with bass below 32ish hz. But now it reproduces bass below 30hz where with the smaller amp it just move along but wouldn't reproduce much below 35hz.

Pretty Impressed!!!
Put 2 of these in a Fox Acoustics ported box for my 21 Chevy Silverado based on specs. They def hit and now need mids and highs so I can hear anything other than bass! Definitely recommend these. D4S was quick on the shipping also!

12” Sundown SA Classic Dual 2ohm
Very Impressed. Installed in a 34hz at 1.85 cu box. I wired it down to 1ohm on a 1000D sundown amp.

Sundown sa12 classic
I’m running this sub off of a JP 800 amp in a 2 cubic foot box tuned to 31 hz. It is in my secondary car and I didn’t expect much but I am beyond impressed with how loud this sub gets and how clean and deep it plays. It’s by far my favorite single sub setup I’ve had.

Heck yeah for sealed.
She slams. Takes more than the amp can give her it seems. I have a sundown 1000d but I’m not sure if sun is wired to 1 or 4 ohms. But she’ll shake the mirrors in a sealed box, love it.
