Sundown’s premiere sound quality separates, the SA-6.5CS is a marvel of design and top-tier components. The midrange features a high-quality cast aluminum basket, housing a cone with a carefully selected blend of paper and wool fibers. This design dampens any unwanted resonances for an incredibly smooth, detailed response. The surround is a high-compliance rubber, engineered to tame edge resonances within the cone.
An FEA-optimized motor was designed in-house and features a full 6mm one-way linear excursion - thanks to a carefully designed motor and extended pole piece. To increase thermal performance, the SA midrange features a vented magnetic gap and vented voice coil collar.
The SA series silk dome tweeter matches the smooth sound of the midrange. After extensive testing, Sundown optimized the tweeter’s gap, dome material, lens, and chamber damping material. The results speak for themselves.
The SA separates were engineered for one, simple goal: to let you completely immerse yourself in the music. At any volume. For as long as you want.

Best pair of 6x9s I've ever owned. Couldn't tell you how many different brands I've tried since the 80s, but these have beat them all. The tweets are the best part in my opinion. Very smooth at all volumes. I'm hearing instruments etc that I never knew were there from recordings I'm very familiar with. The midrange and midbass are good too. I'm very impressed with the overall sound and build quality, as well as D4S and Sundown's customer service.

Best 6x9 on the market hands down!! I have these in my 2020 Durango and my 2015 frontier ! These are no joke. Amazing mid bass and crystal clear highs .. I have one set on a Fosgate 1000-5 and they sound good but definitely need a little more power. I’m the frontier they are on a SALT 200.4 and that is the perfect match!!

I had to get a 6x9 box because Ford f250's have horrible back speaker abilities. I got them sounding pretty good but I am sure I need to put more power on them to get a really good experience, I love the speakers.
